From Reykjavik: Volcano Hike, Reykjanes Geopark & Sky Lagoon
- Eight of the outdoor sights around Reykjavik charge for parking rather than for entry. That fee is per car, so it falls away entirely when somebody else is driving.

An 11-hour day from Reykjavik to a volcano, a geopark, and a lagoon
This tour leaves Reykjavik and spends 11 hours crossing the Reykjanes peninsula, reaching the eruption sites, and ending at the Sky Lagoon. The itinerary takes in the volcano hike, the Reykjanes Geopark, and a stop in Vik í Mýrdal before the lagoon. It is a long day built for travelers who want both the raw landscape and a soak at the end of it. The tour runs in English with a guide. You meet in Reykjavik rather than being picked up at a hotel, which is worth knowing before you book. The price starts at 354 USD. Given the length and the range of stops, this suits someone who wants a full day out rather than a quick visit to any single site.

What the price covers and what you pay on the day
The entry price of from 354 USD includes admission to the places on the itinerary. That means the Sky Lagoon and the volcano hike are covered by what you pay up front. Food is not part of the deal, so you will need to eat before the tour or buy something along the way if the schedule allows. Hotel pickup is not included either, so you make your own way to the departure point in Reykjavik. The operator offers free cancellation, though no deadline is given for it. No other fees apply at the stops themselves. The only extra you might face is a parking fee of 1,000 ISK at the eruption-site trailheads, which you pay on the day if you drive there. For the lagoon, the operator covers the entry, so you do not pay that again at the gate.

The order follows the weight of evidence and not the commission. Every value comes from the same catalogue fields, so that the columns compare.
How many people have judged it?
The number of ratings per listing, the score in brackets. A score without the population behind it tells you nothing.
This site's quality bar sits at ten ratings. Below that is not a verdict, it is chance.

What a 4.6 score from 21 reviews is worth
The tour holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5, but that score comes from only 21 reviews. That is a small sample, so treat the number as a hint rather than a settled verdict. In its category of spa and hot spring tours, this listing ranks 20th of 50 by strength of evidence, which reflects how few reviews sit behind it compared with others. By price, it is among the more expensive options in the group, ranking 34th of 50 with a range that starts at 34 USD and goes up to 2,120 USD. The 21 reviews are enough to show that people who took the tour generally came away satisfied, but they are not enough to say much more than that. If you want a more proven product, the Sky Lagoon entrance pass with the 7-step ritual has a 4.8 from over 7,000 reviews, though that is a shorter and simpler experience.

Season and time of day for an 11-hour outing
The tour runs year-round, but the 11-hour length means daylight matters. From June through August, Reykjavik sees high temperatures of 13 to 15 degrees and lows of 7 to 9 degrees, with long daylight hours that give you plenty of time for the volcano hike and the drive to Vik. In May and September, highs sit around 10 to 11 degrees, and the days are still workable. From October through April, highs drop to between 3 and 8 degrees, and daylight shrinks noticeably. A tour that starts in the morning and ends in the evening will cross twilight in the winter months, so the volcano section is likely to happen in the brighter part of the day. The cold months bring lows around freezing or below, which matters for the outdoor parts of the itinerary. The lagoon at the end is a warm contrast regardless of the season.

What happens at the start and at the stops
You begin in Reykjavik and travel with the group to the Reykjanes peninsula. The volcano hike takes you to the eruption sites, where the trailheads have parking areas. The guide leads the walk and sets the pace. Weather can close roads in Iceland, and the guide makes the call on whether a section is safe to continue. After the hike, the route goes to Vik í Mýrdal, a coastal town, before heading to the Sky Lagoon. The lagoon is a staffed facility with changing rooms and the geothermal water is the point of the stop. The tour ends back in Reykjavik after the lagoon visit. The guide is with you throughout, so you do not need to manage entry or tickets at any of the stops yourself.
Who this tour fits and who should look elsewhere
This is for travelers who want the volcano and the lagoon in one day without arranging transport between them. It suits someone comfortable with a long day and a hike on uneven ground in variable weather. It is not for anyone who wants a relaxed pace or a short outing. If you only want the lagoon and nothing else, the Sky Lagoon admission with transfer runs 2.5 hours and costs from 152 USD, which is a far lighter commitment. The Golden Circle and Secret Lagoon tour is a 10-hour alternative from 132 USD that covers a different landscape and ends at a separate lagoon. For a budget option, the Iceland Secret Lagoon admission ticket alone starts at 34 USD, though it does not include transport. This tour asks for more time and more money, and it delivers a broader slice of the Reykjanes peninsula in return.

Yes. Admission to the stops on this itinerary is included.
How long does the tour really take?
The catalogue gives 11 hours. That is the operator's own figure and covers the tour itself, not the time you spend getting to the meeting point.
Is there a guide who works in English?
Yes, the operator lists English as a guiding language. That is the operator's commitment, not a checked property of the person on the day.
Where do I find all the data on this tour?
In the data sheet on this page. It carries every field on the tour, on each place it visits and on the climate of the departure city, each with its source, and it downloads as a CSV.
Does this listing's rating mean anything?
Yes. 4.6 out of 5 from 21 is above the bar this site holds, which is 4.0 out of 5 from at least ten voices.

Dates, remaining places and the current version of what is included are at the operator. This page reflects the state of the catalogue, not the state of this morning.
Sources
Every figure on this page comes from one of these sources. The running text does not name them, so that it stays readable; the data sheet carries the source in every row.
