How recommendations stay independent
No company can pay to appear on this site, to be ranked higher or to be reviewed more kindly. What we recommend follows fixed rules that apply to every product in the partners' catalogues:
- A tour or place to stay has to pass a quality floor on its guest rating and number of reviews before it is recommended at all. - Rankings such as "most booked" or "top rated" come from the partners' published figures, not from commission rates. - Where the best answer for a reader is something we earn nothing from, a free walk, a city bus, the public pool, we say so, and several of our calculators recommend exactly that.
