These terms apply to everyone who uses reykjavik.tours, in any of its languages. The website is published by Reykjavik Tours, Vesturgata 54, 101 Reykjavik, Iceland, reachable at [email protected]. By using the site you accept these terms; if you do not, please do not use it. They were last updated on 13 September 2026.
What this website is
Reykjavik Tours is an independent travel guide to Reykjavik and the trips people take from it. We write about tours, places to stay, sights and practical planning, and we link to the companies that sell those trips. We are not a tour operator, travel agency or booking platform: we do not sell, arrange or run any tour, transfer, ticket or accommodation, and we never take payments.
When you book through a link on this site, your contract is with the partner or operator you book with, such as GetYourGuide, Booking.com, TourRadar, Viator or Amazon, under that company's terms, prices, cancellation rules and customer service. Questions about a booking, a change, a refund or a pickup belong with them.
How far you can rely on the information
We work to keep every page accurate, and the way we source facts is set out in our editorial principles. Even so, travel information changes, often without notice: prices, opening hours, road conditions, weather, tour schedules and entry rules. So:
- Prices on the site are indications taken from partner catalogues and official price lists at the date given, often shown as a "from" price. The price that counts is the one the partner shows at checkout. - Availability, ratings and inclusions of tours and places to stay come from the partners' own catalogues and may have changed since. - Safety, weather and road information is general guidance, not a substitute for official sources. Before and during a trip, check the Icelandic Met Office, SafeTravel, the Road Administration's road conditions and the travel advice of your own government, such as the US State Department or the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. - Maps, distances and driving times are approximate and are not a navigation aid.
If you find something wrong, please tell us through the contact page; we check and correct it.
Links to other websites
The site links to partners, operators, public authorities and other sources. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, terms or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the page it leads to. Some links are affiliate links that can earn us a commission; the affiliate disclosure explains how.
Content and rights
The texts, calculators, maps, graphics and the selection and arrangement of the content on this site are protected by copyright. You are welcome to read, print and share pages for your own trip planning and to link to any page. Copying, republishing or scraping the content for any other purpose, including training or feeding automated systems, needs our written permission.
Photographs belong to their owners. Tour and trip photos are the operators' own images supplied through our partners; other photographs are our own or used under the licence of the service they came from. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors.
You may not use the site in a way that harms it or its visitors, for example by sending automated requests in bulk, trying to break its security or misusing the contact form.
Liability and applicable law
The site is provided free of charge and as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from the use of the information on the site, from bookings made with third parties, or from the temporary unavailability of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
These terms are governed by Icelandic law. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live. We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version.
