Hotel at a glance

Reykjavik Lights Hotel by Keahotels is a hotel at Sudurlandsbraut 12, 108 Reykjavik, given 3 stars in the listing. That puts it 2.7 km (1.7 miles) from the city's centre point in a straight line, east of it. The postcode is 108: Múlar.

1,094 guest reviews give it 8.7 out of 10, which Booking.com calls “Excellent”. That is enough reviews for the score to mean something.

According to the listing, check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out until 11:00 AM.

The features the listing puts first: parking, private bathroom, free wifi, shuttle service, free parking and non-smoking rooms.

No nightly rate is printed here. Rates depend on the dates you search, and the booking page quotes them for the nights you pick.

Where it is

The address in the listing is Sudurlandsbraut 12, 108 Reykjavik. Postcode 108 covers Múlar.

In a straight line it is 2.7 km (1.7 miles) from the centre point this site measures from, in the old town by Lækjartorg, to the east. On foot that should take roughly 45 minutes. That is an estimate, not a measured route: the straight line with 30 percent added for the streets, at an ordinary walking pace of 5 km/h.

Booking.com's own location score for the property, from its guests, is 8.1 out of 10.

On parking the listing says: “Free private parking is available on site (reservation is not needed).”

Rooms on a sample search

On a search for two adults, 12 to 14 October 2026, the listing offered 4 room types, set out in the table below. Availability changes by the night, so this is what existed then, not a promise about your dates.

Of the 7 rate options on that search, 3 allowed free cancellation, so a flexible rate existed for those nights; whether one does for yours is on the booking page.

Breakfast appeared in the rate options as “Excellent breakfast included”.

What guests mention

Booking.com condenses the property's guest reviews into a short list of what comes up most, drawn from 220 reviews. This site has not read the reviews itself: the table is Booking.com's summary, as given.

Guests single out breakfast, location and cleanliness as strengths; the summary is mixed on room size and noise level.

Arrival, departure and the fine print

Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out until 11:00 AM. The listing attaches this to check-in: “Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card at check-in. You need to let the property know what time you'll be arriving in advance.”

The fine print, as the listing words it: “Although all rates are quoted in EUR, please note that charges will be made in ISK according to the exchange rate on the day that the charge is made. When booking 5 rooms or more, different policies and additional supplements may apply. The credit card used to pre-pay a nonrefundable reservation must be presented upon check-in, and the cardholder’s name must match the ID of the guest checking in. In cases where the physical credit card is not present, or we are unable to verify the card’s ownership, the original transaction will be voided, and a new payment must be processed before check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Please inform Reykjavik Lights Hotel by Keahotels of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.”

How much the guest score can carry

8.7 out of 10 from 1,094 reviews. At that number of stays one unhappy or delighted guest barely moves the average, so the score is a fair summary of how guests have found it.

Within “Every place to stay in the Reykjavik catalogue” it stands 130 of 458 when the group is sorted by score and number of reviews together, so that a 10 from one guest does not outrank a 9.1 from two thousand.

When the weather suits a visit

The warmest month is July, averaging 14.9 degrees Celsius (58.8 Fahrenheit) by day, the coolest January at 3.2 degrees (37.8 Fahrenheit).

Those are outdoor averages over many years, not a forecast. Iceland's weather turns inside an afternoon; check the Icelandic Met Office the night before you travel.
